How-To
For the visual learners among us, this is what we’ve set up:

What you will need to do is set up a mix-minus channel for the Skype call. What this means is that the remote guest’s voice is added to the mix, but on the way back to them their own voice removed (minused?) so they don’t hear an echo.
Record a few seconds of audio and then hit stop, as well as stopping any currently playing audio. Play back the recording in QuickTime and you'll notice it has recorded your system audio.

In order to start recording Skype video calls with DVD VideoSoft; you simply need to open the software window. Note that it starts recording video only when other party turns on the video mode. So, in case if you want to record audio, you have to manually adjust its mode to “Record audio only.” You can use pause button in between the conversations to skip some parts. Hit stop button on the screen to finish the recording.
Pull down the “File” menu and choose “New Audio Recording”.
